The Final Stop — Nashville, Tennessee! 🎶

Our final stop was Nashville, TN, where Yvonne met up with her line sisters. As for James, it was time for some much-needed rest and relaxation!

They spent the next few days reconnecting, enjoying meals together, catching up, and participating in various activities. They even spent some time on Broadway…after dark! 😳

If you’ve never experienced Broadway in Nashville after dark on a weekend, well…you really need to experience it for yourself.

Enough said!!! 😂

Finally, on Sunday afternoon, they arrived back home—and the house was still standing! Our grandson was there while we were away, so that was definitely something to be thankful for.

THANK YOU, LORD! 🙌🏾

Well…Well…Well…

What a wonderful journey!

The trip was scenic, educational, eye-opening, and even comforting as we finally experienced so many of the places we had talked about, read about, or dreamed of seeing.

And the final numbers are in:

🚙 30 days on the road
🛣️ 6,696 miles traveled
⛽ 357 gallons of gasoline purchased
💰 Average gas price: $4.12 per gallon

And along the way, we traveled through or spent time in 17 states:

Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

From the open highways and small towns to the national parks, mountains, wildlife, history, food, unexpected conversations, and people we met along the way, this journey gave us memories that will last a lifetime.

After 30 days and nearly 6,700 miles, there’s also something special about pulling back into your own driveway.

Until the next adventure…

As our great-grandson likes to say:

PEACE OUT! ✌🏾❤️🚙
